The village of Harlow Hill lies on the line of Hadrian’s Wall and is the site of Milecastle 16, a former fort depicting the 16th Roman mile of the historical wall. The hamlet is located approximately 12 miles from the bustling city of Newcastle upon Tyne yet sits in wide open countryside with stunning views over the Tyne Valley.
The picturesque Tyne Valley villages of Stamfordham, Wylam, Heddon and Matfen are all close by, and offer a range of local amenities including shops, pubs, cafes, doctor’s surgeries and schools.
